Land Acknowledgements And Spontaneous Singing: Even For Liberals, The DNC’s Elections Were Insane
The Democratic National Committee held party elections in Washington D.C. on Sunday, electing Ken Martin as their new chair amid liberal lunacy and pure absurdity.
While the votes were counted, the party invited Jackson Brossy, a member of the Navajo nation, to deliver a land acknowledgement.
“The Democratic National Committee wishes to acknowledges that we gather together to state our values on lands that have been stewarded through many centuries by the ancestors and the descendants of tribal nations who have been here since time immemorial,” Brossy said.
The earliest fossil record of humans in North America dates back between 21,000 and 23,000 years ago.

The wackiness continued as Dr. Quintessa Hathaway, a failed Congressional candidate from Arkansas, gave her speech in a bid to become the DNC’s new chair.
She began her salvo in full song with a rendition of the civil rights anthem, “We Shall Overcome.” She debuted her version of the classic days earlier during an MSNBC-hosted forum at Georgetown University.
Hathaway did not explain to her party why she deserved a spot as their leader, instead using her allotted time Sunday to show off her vocal talent.
Not to be outdone, outgoing DNC chair Jaime Harrison similarly dusted off his pipes to sing Stevie Wonder’s “Happy Birthday.”

He struggled to explain to the crowd that “in order to be gender-balanced” the party must elect “one male, one female, and one person of any gender,” for the party’s vice chair position.

The rule change appeared to be an accommodation for Troy Blackwell, a self-identifying nonbinary candidate for one of the party’s vice chair positions. Blackwell received zero votes.

Another candidate for the vice chair position, Josh Burstein, who most recently served as the creative director of the Democratic National Convention, admitted that he used ChatGPT to craft a story about an everyman voter named “Joey”.

The party ended up choosing two women and two men for the open vice chair positions. One of those men was David Hogg, a left-wing media darling famous for his gun control advocacy after attending Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School during its infamous school shooting.
Hogg had previously tweeted that he was not interested in political office because “we have enough straight white men in power.”

For the most powerful position in the party, the Democrats chose Ken Martin, the former chair of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL).
The DFL has a number of striking and radical policies. They support “aggressive” energy conservation and public funding for abortions, according to their party platform. Members of the party have come out against laws making it a crime for HIV-positive individuals to knowingly expose someone else to the virus.
The DFL is also a vocal proponent of gender reassignment surgeries, supporting Minnesota’s “trans refuge” law that allows minors in states that ban sex changes for people under the age of 18 to access those procedures out-of-state. Doctors have described the surgeries, which are often performed on children, as “neither safe nor reversible.”

Martin has previously admitted to “mortifying” his children with his TikTok dancing videos.
