Maura Higgins, 34, and Danny Jones, 38, have made headlines after they were filmed kissing while leaving a BRIT Awards after-party last week, which means their social media accounts have been under scrutiny
The rumour mill has been in overdrive since Love Island star Maura Higgins and McFly’s Danny Jones were caught on camera sharing a kiss at a BRIT Awards afterparty.
The pair, who were on ITV show I’m A Celebrity together last year, were both seen attending the prestigious event at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday night (March 1).
Post-ceremony, they seemed close as they exited an afterparty together. Maura 34, and Danny, 38, who shares six-year-old son with wife Georgia Horsley, were in the company of famous friends at the party including Sam Thompson, Olivia Attwood, Calum Scott, Oti Mabuse, and Maura’s former flame Pete Wicks.
Since then, fans have been scrutinising Danny and Maura’s social media interactions, with many picking up on a comment from Maura following Danny’s crowning as the king of the jungle for the 2024 series. Celebrating his victory, Danny posted a video on Instagram with the caption: “Still can’t quite believe it. What an unbelievably special time, with special people.
“Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart to those who watched, voted, messaged and supported me. This is a journey I won’t ever forget. Big love.”
Maura was seen commenting on the post at the time with a crown and a red love heart emoji.
Danny, who has been married to his wife Georgia Horsley since 2014, has yet to address the BRITs drama. Maura has also not yet released a statement, but was seen breaking her cover this week as the Love Island star was spotted waiting for a taxi at her apartment complex. The star kept things casual, wearing black flared trousers and a leather jacket. She appeared to try and keep her identity under wraps as she wore a matching black cap with the outfit and went makeup free.
According to sources, Maura and Danny “seem to have a close friendship” after meeting on I’m A Celeb and were “talking and laughing for ages” at the BRITs afterparty. It’s been claimed that they spent 90 minutes together at the event as other guests partied around them.
Danny’s wife Georgia broke her silence on Monday on the latest episode of her parenting podcast Mum’s The Word. In a conversation with Kelsey Parker, the duo emphasised the significance of cherishing the present and maximising time spent with their offspring. Georgia centred the entire episode on her and Danny’s son, Cooper, without making any reference to her spouse.
She touched upon topics such as motherhood, their recent relocation, and even their journey to Australia to visit Danny during his stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, all without directly naming him.
