Ottawa police seek ‘person of interest’ in 2024 Vanier fire

Ottawa police are seeking public assistance to identify a man of interest in connection with a suspicious fire late last year.
Police were called Dec. 7 along with Ottawa Fire Services to a residential fire in the 200 block of Cantin Street in the Vanier North neighbourhood.
A person of interest was seen near the fire. He was described as Caucasian, wearing a red sweater and a black jacket with yellow trim and the hood up. The person was wearing black pants and black shoes.
“This person may have witnessed the incident or have helpful information,” police said in a release.
Police asked that anyone with information about this person or incident to contact the arson unit at 613-236-1222, ext 2202 or by email at [email protected].
