Urgent search for ‘man running with knife’ in public

Thames Valley Police said officers attended People’s Park in Banbury at around 4.10pm yesterday (March 20) in an effort to locate the man, who was said to be shouting.
A helicopter was deployed but police say the man has not been located.

Commenting on Friday (March 21), a spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Officers attended the People’s Park area on Thursday (March 20) following a reports of a man running through the park with what is thought to be a knife at around 4.10pm.
“The man was shouting. No one was injured.
“An area search was conducted for the man and the NPAS helicopter was deployed, but he could not be located.
“Anyone with information, CCTV or other footage is asked to call 101 quoting the reference 43250136594.”
